Mark Hatfield is a Maryland based artist. Hatfield was born into a musical family and within that aesthetic environment, Mark developed his own pursuit of art making in a very natural visual way. Instead of following the lead of his musically accomplished parents, Mark used a childhood enveloped by sound and turned that into a personal visual soundscape of sorts.

Hatfield’s purpose in painting is to capture the essence of his individual experience and create a link to others around him. It is a way of relating ideas, feelings; seizing a moment of rapture and expressing it through visual language for the viewer.

Hatfield’s work can be found in important collections across the North American continent from Los Angeles, CA, Manhattan, NY and Greenwich,CT. Mark’s work is also included in international collections from Austria,Spain, France and Italy, with a feature in Architectural Digest Italia and Ville & amp; Casali for the work of famed Roman architect, Stefano Dorata.
